Children and Adult Classes
Our program participants are children ages, 4 ½ to 25 years of age, who live in Pomona and the surrounding communities. The majority of these children and youth are Hispanic, with a smaller percentage of Asians and Caucasians. Approximately 80 percent of the children are assisted financially in some way, which includes assistance from USAFF with the nominal program tuition donation, donation pledge for uniforms and equipment, and/or assistance in travel costs to competitions. Due to factors listed above , a number of these children have weight problems and associated health and behavioral side-effects. At least one-third of the children are overweight and lacking muscle tone and coordination when they enter the program.

We are a small but vital school and cannot compete with large organizations like the YMCA or the Boys & Girls Club. Nor do we want to. We fill the gap. We are a small but vital part in giving our students individualized attention. We’re not just a place for learning TKD, we’re also a place that is safe and comfortable where our focuses are placed on our athletes as individuals. We turn no one away because they cannot afford tuition. We always try to let them make donation payments that fit into their pledge budgets

Get Coordinated with Physical Activity
This presentation demonstrates U.S.A. Fit Force (USAFF) Taekwondo, Inc.’s mission, quality and reliability of service. USAFF assists children’s preparation for the future with, increased discipline and weight control through aerobic physical activity which is a fun and challenging way that increases muscle and bone strength. Many of our students have cultural-related health and behavioral risks including: obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, depression, alcohol and drug usage tendencies, and high rates of teen pregnancies. Other risk factors include stress, unstable parental guidance resulting in poor social skills, low self-esteem, and higher suicidal tendencies. It’s for these reasons USAFF Taekwondo becomes a valued community asset for our youth’s future success. These slides are designed to give you a greater understanding how USAFF offers more than mere self defense Taekwondo (TKD) training. We explain how TKD benefits our athlete’s & families by aiding them in their preparation for the future.

Ying Yang Balance is Practiced too
One of our recommended strategies for reducing childhood obesity, in addition to healthy eating, is by increasing daily physical activity. USAFF Taekwondo provides a disciplined, balanced, and proven method of working directly with youth and their families to provide physical training dedicated to a holistic approach to developing the whole child; physically, socially, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. This includes understanding the Ying and Yang of life or as we say, ‘Training for a Balanced Life’, which is our school slogan.
